25 Years of the Hyatt
The Hyatt Regency Birmingham hotel celebrates 25 years of history this July. Hyatt Regency Birmingham, the four star luxury hotel, opened its doors for business in 1990, introducing Birmingham to the signature service and quality associated with the Hyatt brand.
Twenty five years later, the Hyatt Regency is celebrating its anniversary by giving back to those that made the hotel such a success: its clients, guests and affiliates. On 23rd July this year, the venue will be hosting an event to thank the loyalty of everyone who has helped creating a history full of success.
“We are excited to commemorate the 25th Anniversary and celebrate the contributions all of our associates at Hyatt Regency Birmingham have made to the community,” commented General Manager Mario Flanagan. “2015 has already been a monumental year for our hotel with the completion of our multimillion pound refurbishment last year. We now have brand new facilities such as our Pub & Terrace, The Gentleman & Scholar and the Presidential Suite which features incredible views over Birmingham’s skyline.”
As the second Hyatt property in the UK, Hyatt Regency Birmingham opened its doors on 16th July 1990 in Birmingham City Centre. Located just opposite the Library of Birmingham and five minutes’ walk from the exclusive Mailbox and Bull Ring shopping centres, as well as Broad Street and Brindley Place, the venue enjoys a prime location.
Birmingham’s Hyatt Hotel has started a social media campaign in order to compile as many photography as possible from the past 25 years. Joanne Brain, Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham, says: “We have twenty five years of history in Birmingham and so we would like to thank our loyal guests, employees and also our owners Hyatt for helping us create great past memories and help us celebrate our silver anniversary with a promising future ahead.
We are asking for anyone who has stayed or worked at Hyatt Regency Birmingham before, to share some pictures they might have on social media with the hashtag #HyattMemories. The pictures will go through a selection process and some of them will be on exhibition on our Anniversary Party.”
